Watson replaces Dalla Lana at Aston Martin Racing at Daytona

Aston Martin Racing can count on the British Andrew Watson to replace Paul Dalla Lana in the No. 3 Vantage GT98, injured while skiing, for the 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25-26), opening of theIMSA 2020.

Watson, passed through the fold McLaren until 2018, is a regular on Gaydon's latest, having competed in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with Garage 59 in 2019. The 24-year-old driver also competes in WEC on Porsche 911 RSR – Gulf Racing.

For the Florida double-lap, Watson will support Pedro Lamy, Ross Gunn and Mathias Lauda in the car entered under the official Aston Martin Racing banner in GTD. This will be Watson's debut on American territory.

One of the two Vantages, since the presence of the English brand will be reinforced by the Heart of Racing car, which will operate a Vantage GT3 all year round in IMSA, with Alex Riberas, new Aston Martin Racing North America driver and Roman de Angelis as starting driver, supported by Ian James in the Endurance races, and Nicki Thiim at Daytona.
