Extreme Speed Motorsports will not debut the HPD ARX-04b at next week's 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida. The team will keep the 03b versions seen so far, the development of the new LMP2 having fallen behind the approval required by the WEC, 30 days before the 6 Hours of Silverstone (April 12) which will open the season.
“After working alongside Honda for ten years, I am confident that the HPD ARX-04b will meet expectations with further development”, commented boss-pilot Scott Sharp. “We will simply need more time than we have had so far compared to the start of the WEC. »
Extreme Speed Motorsports also plans to compete in 6 Hours of Spa (May 2) with two Ligier JS P2s. “Onroak has a close relationship with Honda and its proven P2 chassis will enable us to follow our initial programme”, added Scott Sharp.
The crews will still consist of Scott Sharp, Ryan Dalziel, David Heinemeier-Hansson, Ed Brown, Jon Fogarty and Johannes van Overbeek.
