Will Power will not participate in the 24 hours of Daytona. His wife, Liz Power, is suffering from complications following an operation. The double champion ofIndyCar, in 2014 and 2022, will be replaced by Luca Stolz in the SunEnergy 1 crew.

« Liz had several complications after her operation, a long recovery phase awaits her, announced the winning driver of the 500 Indianapolis 2018 in a press release. His health is my priority, and unfortunately, that means I have to put Daytona aside. »

“I want to thank Kenny for his understanding of our situation and for all the support he has shown us,” he adds. I will be cheering from North Carolina, hoping we will have more opportunities to work together in the future. »

Habul also showed his support for his teammate: “It goes without saying that in these situations, family comes first. His priority is Liz and her health, and we wish her recovery as quickly as possible. »

Stolz and Habul have already worked together, notably during their victory last year at the Bathurst 12 Hours. They will therefore be reunited on the track on January 20 at the Daytona International Speedway.
