Absent from the calendar in 2022, Michelin Le Mans Cup will return to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain for pre-season testing on Tuesday April 18 and for the first round on Saturday April 22.
Round 2 will take place at Imola on Saturday May 6 after the series returns to the Italian track in 2022 following a six-year break.
Round 3 will be the star event with the two 55-minute Road to Le Mans races on the full 13,6km Sarthe circuit. The first race will take place on Thursday June 8 and the second on Friday June 9.
“We are pleased to announce the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup calendar with seven races on six premier circuits, declares Frédéric Lequien, general director of LMEM. Each of the events will take place as part of a festival of endurance racing, with the five 110-minute races taking place alongside the European Le Mans Series. In June, Road to Le Mans will be part of a major celebration to mark the 100th anniversary of the first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923.”
Le Castellet will host round 4 on Saturday July 15. After a two-month break, the Michelin Le Mans Cup returns to Spa-Francorchamps with round 5 on Saturday September 23, with the final at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve on Sunday October 15. The 2023 calendar for the Michelin Le Mans Cup therefore largely follows that of the European Le Mans Series, apart from the round in Aragón, replaced by the double meeting at Le Mans.
The 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup calendar:
April 18: pre-season testing in Barcelona
April 22: Barcelona
May 6: Imola
June 8-9: Road to Le Mans
