Maurizio Leschiutta: “BMW plans to go to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024”

Maurizio, can you introduce yourself and your role at BMW?

I was born in Canada, of Italian origin. I first started at Ferrari in 1991 in Formula 1. I stayed there for 12 years, then left for Maserati Racing. A great adventure which lasted until 2011. We created the MC12 C racing car which was very successful during this period (Driver or Manufacturer championship titles every year from 2005 to 2011 in GT1. Editor's note). Then I became general manager in charge of the development of the Abarth engine, an Italian F4 supplier. After a break, I returned to motorsport in 2018 and worked at WRT looking after the program DTM. I joined BMW at the end of 2019, still for the DTM. Now I have been made responsible
