The MissionH24 program will take a new step in its development process. On the Imola route this Saturday, where the Michelin Le Mans Cup takes place as a curtain-raiser to theELMS, the H24 electric-hydrogen propulsion prototype, which prepares the arrival of a category reserved for hydrogen vehicles during the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025, will participate in its first race this weekend where driver Stéphane Richelmi will be behind the wheel.

This comes a few days after the various FIA approvals which allow it to be a competitor. As a reminder, the MissionH24 prototype had already been present at various meetings but was only able to take part in simple test sessions. It is now in a 110-minute race that the H24 will compete against “traditional” cars.

« This entry into the race at Imola is a new, crucial step in the development of the MissionH24 program, savor Christophe Ricard, president of GreenGT and co-president of MissionH24. The successfully passed approval tests recognize the excellent work of our teams and technical partners, all of whom I would like to thank here. Because if the track is a permanent event, the homologation is another, carried out behind the scenes in collaboration with the FIA, just as important. Imola therefore marks an important change of phase. We are still explorers, but we are now resolutely taking on a competitive role. This is a new challenge for MissionH24, for the ACO, for GreenGT, for all our staff. We welcome it with pleasure because car racing only makes sense if it is made up of conquest, technological and sporting challenges.."

« Today, this world first, a hydrogen electric prototype at the start of a European level endurance race, in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, bears very concrete witness to our convictions, their realism and our commitment: a competition, a low-carbon mobility is possible, rejoices for his part the president of the ACO Pierre Fillon. The energy transition is underway. With all our partners, we contribute with determination. The road is not an easy journey, different stages exist and will exist, but it is part of our mission. See you, Saturday 17:30 p.m., in Imola, with the H24, a zero-emission hydrogen electric prototype, on the starting grid, in the experimental car category."
