How will you support Genesis in 2025?

There are still some things to refine with Cyril (Abiteboul). We are here to help them build their own team, to instill in them the knowledge of theEndurance. It won't happen in a year. They will set up in our premises in Signes, in the Var. We will develop the drivers, give Genesis human support on recruitment, setting up the team, equipment. The goal is to continue working with them afterwards, as Oreca did with Toyota in the past in LM P1.

How was the connection established?

I contacted Cyril Abiteboul at the beginning of last year, without knowing his project in Endurance. We talked, we got on well. When I knew they were coming to Hypercar, there was a new contact to discuss how we could support them. We wanted to have the opportunity to engage with a manufacturer. We are going to grow a little more from now on.

Can you explain the choice of these three drivers in LM P2? We were particularly expecting to see Reshad from Gerus continue with you…

We tested Jamie (Chadwick) and she gave total satisfaction. She goes very very fast. Logan's plan (Sergeant), is to go and win the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It's his favorite circuit. He has already driven in Michelin Le Mans Cup in GT (in 2021 on a Ferrari 488 Iron Lynx. Editor's note). For third place, it was going to be between Mathys (Jaubert) and Reshad (de Gerus). Ultimately, the latter has been competing in Endurance for three years. The idea is to develop drivers who have never competed in this discipline. I'm not saying that Mathys is ready, he's still very young (19 years old), but he's doing what's asked of him and developing at an incredible speed. As for Reshad, it broke my heart. I did everything I could to get him in the car.

Are you sure you have two cars at the start of Le Mans?

No, I think we'll only have one. If that's the case, we'll put Genesis drivers in the car.
