Porsche Vision GT: a virtual supercar for Gran Turismo 7

This new supercar Porsche could have embodied the replacement for the 918 Spyder, the great rival of the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1 in the early 2010s. But it won't run in the real world. It is indeed one of those little designer pleasures created by manufacturers exclusively for video games in the Gran Turismo series on PlayStation consoles. After Citroën, Peugeot , Aston Martin, Bugatti, Audi, Mazda, Nissan, Mercedes, Lamborghini, Jaguar or even McLaren, Porsche lends itself to the style exercise with its Vision Gran Turismo.

As usual with this type of model, the style is futuristic with a refined silhouette and a minimalist interior, inspired by the world of motor racing. Porsche specifies that the car has on paper a fully electric powertrain, without giving power or performance figures. Remember that in real life, Porsche already offers a 100% electric sedan – the Taycan – and will soon add other zero-emission models to its range. A family SUV first, but probably also a real sports car by the year 2024. In the meantime, you can chase the clock behind the wheel of the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo in the video game Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 4 and 5, expected March 3, 2022.
