By victoriously crossing the finish line of the 92nd edition, Nicklas Nielsen became the third driver from Denmark to win the general classification of the Sarthe classic. If we have to go back to 2013, the date of Tom Kristensen's ninth victory in the Sarthe, to find traces of such a Danish feat, let us remember that the first driver from the pearl of the Baltic to shine was his namesake John Nielsen, victorious in 1990 in a Jaguar XJR-12 with Price Cobb and Martin Brundle.
