Salters (HRC US): “The 24 Hours of Le Mans must have meaning for our company”

The head of the Japanese manufacturer's sports branch in the United States granted us an interview this summer. The opportunity to look back on the less convincing second season of the Acura ARX-06 in IMSA, to discuss the return of Meyer Shank Racing for 2025 or even the eternal question of a possible arrival in La Sarthe.

How do you judge Acura's 2024 season in the GTP category of theIMSA while there is still one round to go (Petit Le Mans, October 9-12)?

Mixed. The season results speak for themselves (3rd in the Constructors' championship, 5th and 6th in the Drivers' championship. Ed.). Some things went well, others didn't. We took a number of pole positions (two pole positions, one at Road America and the other at Watkins Glen. Ed.), that's a good thing. We won two races (Sebring with the #40 of Louis Delétraz, Colton Herta and Jordan Taylor as well as Detroit with the #10 of Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Tay
