It's a huge pleasure to know exactly what I'm going to do this year. It's a huge change from last season. Plus, it's a superb program. It's mainly thanks to Peugeot and to the Stellantis group that I have this opportunity to ride this season, and I thank them 100%. I am very determined to prove my worth.
So the contacts with the Algarve were made through Peugeot?
My main role this season remains that of Peugeot development driver. This involves a lot of simulator work and several test sessions to ensure I'm ready to replace a regular driver if necessary. Peugeot wanted me to also participate in races at the same time, as this remains the best preparation, hence the initiation of discussions that led to this program.
Have you had the opportunity to collaborate with your new team yet?
I spent two days testing with APR in Portimão (Portugal). Algarve is an excellent team in the LMP2 category, with an impressive track record
