Development of the future LMDh continues at Acura. The American firm, owned by Honda, ran the ARX-06 on the Magny-Cours circuit. The North American department of Honda Motorsport posted a video on the Twitter account, showing off its upcoming mount for theEndurance. Engineers and drivers are continuing the development of the next LMDh in France with the Oreca chassis. The French manufacturer congratulated itself on Twitter: “First successful tests for the new Acura ARX-06 prototype”.
The American branch of Honda had carried out its first shakedown on the Paul-Ricard circuit aerodrome on Friday. Because of the French Grand Prix of Formula 1, Acura had to relocate its tests to Magny-Cours.
The ARX-06 is expected to compete from the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona (January 26-29). Acura will continue its collaboration with Wayne Taylor Racing, which already operates the current Acura DPi in IMSA. Filipe Albuquerque, Ricky Taylor and Will Stevens will be in charge of the tests.
