Vortex 2.0: a new era for the Piscenois structure

After ten years of operating its “1.0”, the Hérault-based Vortex team launched its “2.0” at the start of the season. A scarecrow that is already causing a lot of headaches for the GT3 rivals of the major manufacturers.

In the family workshop in Pézenas (Hérault), there is excitement. Barely arriving from Hockenheim (Germany), the semi-trailer is already ready to leave for other horizons in Iberian lands. The team's mechanics are scrambling to get everything ready on time. The comings and goings of Hérault machines have been constant since 2015 and the debut of 1.0, the first model built by Olivier and Arnaud Gomez after experiences rich in learning.

« My brother was an engineer at Solution F in the 2000s, for whom I drove and did development, explains Arnaud, the eldest of the siblings. After several years, we said to ourselves: “Why not build our own cars? » The project might seem ambitious, but we had acquired a certain expertise over time, and as I had also set up a structure in the Peuge sectors
