13 p.m.: Pescarolo will not see the finish

Emmanuel Collard was on the attack to protect his fifth place in the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP Oreca which returned to number 16. The Frenchman went off the track at the entrance to the Virages Porsche, ending his race in the tire wall two hours from the goal.

André Lotterer seems less comfortable in the drizzle at Le Mans. The driver of the No. 2 Audi leading the race saw his lead disappear visibly when simon pagenaud attacked at the wheel of his No. 908 9 to reduce the gap separating him from the lead of the race. The Frenchman was back to around twenty seconds before his pit stop.

The LMP2 category is not in the top positions, but the leading drivers in the category both made mistakes in the face of the sudden change in grip.

Tom Milner, driver of the No. 73 Corvette, takes the lead in GTE Pro after surpassing the Ferrari n°51 AF Corse by Toni Vilander. The #50 Corvette from Larbre Compétition is still leading the GTE Am.
