1812 km of Qatar – H1: Peugeot in the lead ahead of Porsche

Thanks to a big first stint from Nico Müller, the No. 9 Peugeot 8X93 is in the lead of the 1812 km of Qatar after an hour of racing!

  • Lively departure at 1812 km from Qatar! The Isotta Fraschini stopped at the pit entrance, but managed to restart behind the LMGT3s. Miguel Molina surprised everyone on the outside of the first corner to place the Ferrari n°50 in the lead in front of Porsche n°5 and the Peugeot No. 93. Paul di Resta (Peugeot no. 94) was sent into a spin by Alex Lynn (Cadillac no. 2) and suffered a slow puncture. The Cadillac damaged its face in the collision.
  • Nico Müller put in a big first stint to overtake Michael Christensen (Porsche) and Miguel Molina (Ferrari) in succession and take control of the event!
  • The Swiss is pursued by the Porsche armada, with the first two official ones then the two Hertz Team JOTAs. The two Ferraris are in 7th and 8th positions, followed by the AF Corse n°83.
  • The Toyota are behind, in 9th and 14th positions. Both Alpine follow each other in 12th and 13th positions.
  • In LMGT3, Aliaksandr Malykhin placed the Manthey PureRxcing Porsche in first position ahead of theAston Martin Vantage GT3 from Heart of Racing.
