  • Everything is going well for Porsche at the 1812 km of Qatar, opening round of the 2024 FIA season WEC. The No. 963 6 of Laurens Vanthoor, Kévin Estre and André Lotterer continues to dominate the rankings after six hours of a now very calm race.
  • However, victory is not yet achieved for the German manufacturer since the Peugeot 9X8 n°93 remains in ambush with around fifteen seconds left with the return of Nico Müller at the wheel. The other official Porsche, number 5, is in third position.
  • The #9 Peugeot 8X94 encountered a battery problem and was forced to return to its garage. 29 minutes and 43 seconds later, she returned to the track 21 laps behind the race leader.
  • Toyota moved back into the top 5 with the No. 7 now driven by Mike conway, but far from the head of the race.
  • Alpine is on the verge of the top 10 with the No. 36 driven by Mick Schumacher.
  • In GT3, there is a battle at the front of the race with theAston Martin Vantage from Heart of Racing, the Ferrari 296 n°54 from Vista AF Corse as well as the n°92 Porsche from Manthey PureRxcing.
  • Isotta Fraschini retired due to a mechanical problem. This is so far the only withdrawal to be notified.
