22 p.m.: The Audi 2 leads. The Peugeot 7 on the prowl

Since the neutralization following the impressive accident of Allan McNish, the No. 18 Audi R2 TDI and the Peugeot 908 n°7 exchanges command depending on supplies. At 22 p.m., it is the German car, currently in the hands of Andrea Lotterer, which is ahead of its French rival by 13 seconds. The Audi seems faster than the Lioness, but the latter consumes less. Since the start, the No. 2 has passed through the pit box nine times compared to eight for the No. 7.

In third place, we find the No. 1 Audi driven at a breakneck pace by Mike Rockenfeller, determined to catch up at the start of the race. Pedro Lamy follows at around ten seconds.

In LMP2, Dominik Kraihamer then David Hallyday (currently on track) continue the good work started by Alexandre Prémat. The Oreca 03-Nissan from Team Oreca Matmut dominates the debates. She is one lap ahead of the #11 Zytek Z41SN- Nissan of Greaves Motorsport of Kimber-Smith / Lombard / Ojjeh, and the Lola B11/40-Judd of Pecom Racing of Kaffer, Russo and Perez Companc.

In GTE, Corvette dominates, whether in Pro or Am. The No. 74 of Gavin-Magnussen-Westbrook has completed 94 laps, and is followed at 17 seconds by the sister car of the Olivier Beretta-Tommy Milner-Antonio Garcia crew. Second for a long time, the No. 3 BMW M56 was pushed into its pit and fell down the rankings. Larbre Compétiton and his Canal-Gardel-Bornhauser trio dominate the GTE Am, with a 1:41 lead over the Porsche?The Compétiton tree of Belloc, Gibon and Bourret, and the Ferrari 430 Krohn Racing by Rugolo-Jonsson-Krohn.
