24 H: David Hallyday's mistake

The No. 03 Oreca 48-Nissan seemed to be a serious contender for victory until David Hallyday went off the track. Hugues de Chaunac deplores this sad result which does not reward the team's efforts.

24 H: David Hallyday's mistake

The Prémat-Hallyday-Kraihamer crew led the LMP2 category. Team Oreca was ahead of Greaves Motorsport's #41 Zytek Nissan until David Hallyday made a mistake. The sanction was immediate with the withdrawal of the No. 48 Oreca from the race at 6:41 a.m.

“It’s obviously a big disappointment for Team ORECA-Matmut,” confides the President of the French team. “Until then, the drivers had done flawlessly. Alexandre (Prémat) completed a great quintuple relay and Dominik (Kraihamer) shone during the night. »

Hugues de Chaunac deplores this abandonment which deprives Team Oreca of a possible victory in the category. The Frenchman is banking on the other Oreca from the Signatech team. ?It?s a regrettable driving error from David which certainly deprives us of an excellent result. Nevertheless, the ORECA 03 once again showed its qualities. Our hopes now rest on the Signatech-Nissan team which will perhaps bring this podium? »
