24 Hours of Le Mans 2020 – Our forecast entry list

If theEndurance does not yet have one nor with its transition period, the 24 Hours of Le Mans remain a must for any motorsport fan, who always waits impatiently – even anxiously – for the entry list.

As a reminder, this is the only world-renowned event whose entry contingent comes from a selection process. To know it definitively, you will still have to be patient, because the list here is only ours, made up from the information we have gleaned in the paddocks, and not the official one, revealed this Friday 28 feFebruary at 18 p.m. But who knows, maybe there will be some surprises...

If we count the 30 committed for the year in WEC and the 12 automatic invitations (from which the protagonists of the WEC are removed and which are valid only in the event of presence in 2020 in an ACO championship) awarded following the results of the 2019 edition, but also of theELMS, theIMSA, the Michelin Le Mans Cup and the Asian Le Mans Series, the Selection Committee remained to choose 20 competitors, not counting the alternates. See one or two more, because nothing says, for example, that Nielsen Racing will honor its precious sesame.

If we are to believe our forecast list, there will be 1 LM P7s. The most extensive category should be LM P2, while there will be at best 11 GTE Pros (compared to 17 last year), if the probable application form of Risi Competizione attracts the favors of decision-makers, who would be wrong to do without it, even more so given the level of the anticipated trio.

The GTE Am will not be left out, while the 56th stand will be occupied, as in 2016, by Frédéric Sausset's SRT41 team, which will field an Oreca 07 driven by three drivers with disabilities. As a reminder, competitors had until February 13 to submit their application file(s) to the selection committee.
