24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual – H2: Stoffel Vandoorne in the lead

The major information from these first two hours of racing remains the abandonment of the FA Racing car no. 14 following a technical bug. Forced to observe a drive-through, Fernando Alonso entered the pit lane as he had no choice but to turn away. But the game stipulating that the penalty must be observed before refueling, the Spaniard ran out of fuel on his exit lap because he was unable to refuel. It is therefore over for his hopes of victory and those of his friend Rubens Barrichello, who will not even have taken the wheel.

After two hours of racing, it is Stoffel Vandoorne who leads the way at the wheel of the No. 16 Veloce eSports car which he shares with Norman Nato Eamon Murphy and Tomek Poradzisz. The Belgian is ahead of Atze Kerkhof, who took over from Max Verstappen on RedLine n°20. The top five is completed by José-Maria Lopez (Toyota Gazoo Racing n°7), Oliver Rowland (2 Seas Motorsport n°33) and Larry ven Toorde (TDS E-Racing n°46).

Very lively at the start of the race, Kelvin van der Linde lost his connection and the E-Team WRT car fell to 26th place.

In GTE, the No. 7 Corvette C80.R of the R8G Esports Team is in the lead with Ehran Javovski currently at the wheel. Followed by Tommy Ostgaard (Porsche 911 RSR n°93), Mack Bakkum (Porsche 911 RSR n°92), Michael Francesconi (Porsche 911 RSR n°88) and Nicki Thiim (Aston Martin Vantage AMR n°95).
