24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual – Porsche on GTE pole

That's it, here we are. Those involved in the first edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtuelles got to the heart of the matter this evening, with the qualifications. It was the GTEs that got the ball rolling. First impression: Visually speaking, the rendering is astonishingly realistic! As expected, the qualifying exercise was entrusted to the simracers, who are quicker in this “game” which requires very specific trajectories and driving.

>>>The entry list<<

Le Porsche eSports Team hit hard, placing two of its four 911 RSRs in the first two ranks. Pole position was taken by Joshua Rogers at the wheel of the #93 which he shares with Tommy Ostgaard, Ayhancan Güven and Nick Tandy. The Australian was respectively 0” ahead of his stablemate Mitchell de Jong (n°6), who is supported by Martti Pietilä, André Lotterer and Neel Jani.

Two other Porsches followed, the No. 88 of Van Dooren's Dempsey-Proton Racing and the No. 92 of Jérémy Bouteloup. If theAston Martin Vantage AMR n°95 is fifth, there are five 911 RSRs in the first six. Note the good performance of the Corvette C7.R from the R8G Esports Team of Romain Grosjean, seventh, while the best Ferrari, the No. 52 led today by Enzo Bonito is 9th at 2”1. As a reminder, the Italian teams up with David Tonizza, Charles Leclerc and Antonio Giovinazzi.
