24 Hours of Le Mans – H+15: stable gap between the Toyotas

The classification of 24 Hours of Le Mans has not evolved significantly in this 15th hour. As the sun rises on the Sarthe circuit, Kamui Kobayashi remains in the lead in the No. 050 TS7 Hybrid with around ten seconds ahead of the No. 8 Kazuki Nakajima. The Rebellion of Gustavo Menezes and Neel Jani follow with more than seven laps.

 

It is the No. 07 Oreca 26 G-Drive of Andréa Pizzitola which completes the Top 5 in the general classification, still dominating the LM P2 category with more than four minutes ahead of the Ligier JS P217 of Panis-Barthez Competition led by Will Stevens. L'Alpine A470 of Will Stevens is one lap ahead of the No. 07 Oreca 48 from Idec Sport Racing driven by Paul Lafargue. Paul di Resta completes the Top 5 in the category in the No. 217 United Autosports Ligier JS P22.

 

Porsche retains control of the GTE Pro. Laurens Vanthoor (911 RSR no. 92) has more than two minutes ahead of the no. 91 of Frédéric Makowiecki. Sébastien’s Ford GTs Bourdais and Andy Priaulx complete the quartet in the category ahead of Ferrari 488 GTE n°52 of Luis Felipe Derani, half a second behind the Briton. Christian Ried remains in the lead of GTE Am at the wheel of the No. 77 Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche.
