24h of Le Mans: EOT and BOP revealed

The ACO unveiled on Wednesday the Equivalence of Technology (EOT) for LMP1 and the Balance of Performance (BOP) for GT, ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Unlike the classic sleeves of WEC, there is no success handicap in LMP1. THE Toyota will therefore retain their original acceleration capacity and their superiority in traffic. Only EOT aims to balance forces. If we compare to 2019, the Toyotas gain weight, seven kilos, but lose feathers elsewhere.

In terms of the quantity of fuel per gasoline, the Japanese retain 35,1 kg but the Rebellion goes from 50,8 kg to 55,4 kg and the Ginetta and Bykolles from 48,4 to 52,8 kg.

The diameter of the fuel restrictor goes from 22,3 mm to 24,10 for Rebellion naturally aspirated engines and from 21,75 mm to 23,5 for Ginetta turbos and it will be 19 mm for Toyotas as in 2019 .

In GTE-Pro, there will be some BOP. There Porsche loses twenty kilos compared to 2019, Ferrari et Aston Martin remain at the same weight. In terms of gasoline, the Aston Martin will only be entitled to 97 liters in its tank, one more than last year compared to 89 liters for the Ferraris and 97 liters for the Porsches.
