24 Hours of Le Mans – Mailleux wants to return to the podium

Franck Mailleux is a regular at 24 Hours of Le Mans since he will take part in the Sarthe event for the fourth time next week. After taking second place in LMP2 last year with Soheil Ayari and Lucas Ordonez, the Malouin driver hopes to repeat this performance when this time he will share the Oreca 03-Nissan with Jordan Tresson and Olivier Lombard. However, the task seems more delicate for Signatech which achieved disappointing performances at the 12 Hours of Sebring as well as the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. At the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the No. 23 set the tenth time in the category, two seconds behind the Oak Racing Morgan-Judd.

Despite this failed start to the season, Franck Mailleux believes in the potential of his car and his crew. “I believe we are well equipped to succeed”, assures the Signatech pilot. “Last year, we took pole position and a podium in LMP2. It goes without saying that we want to repeat this performance. We know that our car is good, that the potential is there, with the Oreca chassis and the Nissan engine. Jordan, Olivier and I get along well and work well together, I think we make a great crew. Everyone at Signatech-Nissan is working tirelessly to put the odds in our favor this weekend. We carried out some interesting tests at Magny-Cours and during the test day here, we must continue in this direction. »
