24H. Le Mans – Scuderia Corsa confirms its crews

Always faithful to Ferrari, Scuderia corsa will swap its victorious 458 Italia last year in Sarthe in GTE Am with the Segal – Sweedler – Bell trio for two 488 GTEs in 2017.

Giacomo Mattioli's team will thus trust Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell, associated to defend their title with Cooper MacNeil, replacing Jeff Segal on the No. 62, while Christina Nielsen and Alessandro Balzan, successfully associated since 2016 in GTD in IMSA, will be supported by Bret Curtis.

“The opportunity to field two Ferraris to defend our victory at Le Mans is a great honor, comments Mattioli. Starting 2015 with a podium, and winning last year was a dream come true.

Coming back now with the Ferrari 488 GTE is a whole new challenge and we are all excited about it. It's obviously good to have Bill and Townsend back with us for another year, and with Cooper MacNeil we should be very strong.

Needless to say, we had an incredible year in 2016 with Christina and Alessandro, and Bret Curtis is a long-time member of our fold so we're very excited to be working with him. We are certainly confident of another victory for Ferrari. »
