24H Mans – Kimber-Smith will ride with Starworks

Hiroaki Ishiura having withdrawn from Le Mans, Toyota devait trouver un remplaçant pour épauler Anthony Davidson et Sébastien Buemi on TS030 n°8. The Japanese manufacturer chose Stéphane Sarrazin who had already worked with TMG as a test driver. F1. The former pilot of the Peugeot 908 having already entered Le Mans with Starworks Motorsports, it will be Tom Kimber-Smith who will support Enzo Potolicchio and Ryan Dalziel on the HPD ARX-03b.

The Briton had given way to Martin Brundle on the Greaves Motorsport Zytek Z11-SN for the double-lap race at Le Mans. This choice is not insignificant for Starworks since Tom Kimber-Smith won the LMP2 in La Sarthe last year with Karim Ojjeh and Olivier Lombard. He will therefore provide valuable assistance and experience to the team which reached the podium at the 12 Hours of Sebring behind the Audi double.
