24H Le Mans: Prospeed unveils its drivers

The Saudi will not be lost since he already took part in the event last year at the wheel of a 911 RSR from Team Felbermayr Proton. The Briton (who will play his father in the upcoming Rush film retracing the 1976 season of F1 between James Hunt and Niki Lauda) already benefits from solid experience since he has notably won several victories in the Porsche SuperCup and recently won the 24 Hours of Dubai. Finally, the American is also used to Porsche after competing in the 2010 ALMS season, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring with the Stuttgart manufacturer.

With this crew and a more experienced team, Prospeed Competition hopes to finish the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the top three places in the GTE Am category. “ProSpeed Competition discovered the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2010 by finishing the event as the first 100% private crew”, comments Rudi Penders, Team Principal of the Belgian team. “Last year, iBird made an impression, as did the quality of our technical monitoring during pitstops. In 2012, the objective is to reach the finish line for the third time in a row and to continue our progress. A podium in the LM GTE Am class? Yes, we are doing everything we can. »
