35 crews lined up in 2015

The margins of the list of entrants for the 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans revealed by the ACO, the competitors selected to participate in the World ChampionshipEndurance 2015 were also confirmed. No surprise in LM P1, the most represented category this year, where Toyota and the duo Buemi ? Davidson, supported this year by the Japanese Kazuki Nakajima will defend their crowns. Audi and Porsche had already revealed their crews (notably with Audi the integration of Oliver Jarvis on the R18 e-tron quattro within the crew Loïc duval ? Lucas di Grassi).

At the new arrival Nissan, the two GT-R LM Nismo have their first drivers since they will be entered year-round in WEC on the LM P1s which were unveiled during the Superbowl the Briton Harry TIncknell and Olivier Pla. Rebellion, which will only start at Spa on May 2 (see Ah n°1997) and Team ByKolles (formerly Team Lotus LM P) will also be there.

LM P2 will once again be the most represented category with 12 crews. If the commitments of Extreme Speed, Strakka Racing, the very recent Team SARD-Morand and the Ligier JS P2s of G-Drive Racing and Oak Racing were known, Signatech-Alpine, in accordance with what we announced in issue 1997 of AUTOhebdo, will perform well in its World Cup in 2015 with a Alpine A450b-Nissan.

In GTE Pro, Ferrari and AF Corse will once again be the cars to beat. The duets Gianmaria Bruni – Toni Vilander and Davide Rigon? James Calado were confirmed this morning, and will face the Porsche 911 RSR of Team Manthey where the Frédéric crew Makowiecki? Patrick Pilet will be one to watch. THE Aston Martin Officials from AMR will respond with three examples including number 99 for Fernando Rees.

The GTE Am category, in addition The Competition Tree with a Corvette C7.R (see Ah n°1997), AF Corse will field a 458 Italia for the Perrodo – Collard – Aguas trio. The Porsche clan will be represented by Dempsey Racing and Proton Competition, while Aston Martin will field two Vantages.

Here is the entry list for the 2015 WEC. The Prologue will take place on March 27 and 28 at Paul Ricard in the Var, before the first round scheduled for April 12 at Silverstone in England.
