6 Hours of Spa – Qualifying: Olivier Pla offers Glickenhaus his first pole position

Qualifying for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps saw Olivier Pla take the first pole position in the history of Glickenhaus.

6 Hours of Spa – Qualifying: Olivier Pla offers Glickenhaus his first pole position

At Spa-Francorchamps, Olivier Pla offered his first pole position to the Team Glickenhaus in 2:02.771. The French pilot was ahead of another tricolor, Matthieu Vaxiviere (Alpine Elf Endurance Team), at 0.228 seconds. THE Toyota, dominant in Free Practice 3, were content with third and fourth places.

AF Corse once again set the fastest lap in LM P2, confirming the surprise at Sebring. After Nicklas Nielsen, this time it was Alessio Rovera who was the fastest in 2:04.246. The Italian finished ahead of Robin Frijns in the #31 WRT and Filipe Albuquerque in the #22 United Autosports USA.

Porsche in GTE Pro, Aston Martin in GTE Am

As during the Free Practice, the Porsche dominated all competition in LMGTE Pro. Gianmaria Bruni set the best time with the No. 91 in 2:14.301. The Italian beat his teammate Michael Christensen, long virtual poleman, by 0.180 seconds. Nick Tandy took third in 2:14.606 for Corvette.

Among the Ams, these are the Aston Martin who signed a double with Ben Keating in 2:17.408 for the TF Sport n°33 and Paul Dalla Lana in 2:18.912 for the Northwest AMR n°98. Brendan Iribe completed the podium in this category with a time of 2:19.700 in the No. 911 Porsche 19 RSR – 56 of Team Project 1.
