The first meeting of the season WEC was mixed for the Richard Mille Racing Team and Sébastien Ogier. The eight-time world rally champion was inevitably the attraction of the Florida round. He was thrown into the deep end on the 79th lap, after 2h30 of racing, when he took over from his teammate Lilou Wadoux at the wheel of the French team's Oreca 07.

Although he was more satisfied with his second stint in the car, the Gapençais did not emerge fully convinced from his first outing in competition. “It was clean and much more consistent, even if it still lacked a little speed, analyzed the person concerned after the race. I found it difficult to push more, with the sensations I had. It should be remembered that this was a first step, with quite a few practices which will serve as starting points. I'm not going to say that I'm satisfied with my performance, there are ways to do better. »  If he was not present at the Monza tests with his teammates Charles Milesi and Lilou Wadoux, that did not prevent Sébastien Ogier from being studious before what is already the last round before Le Mans.

“The first two meetings are there to be best prepared for Le Mans, explains the Habs. OUR performance was not fantastic at Sebring, but the most important thing is to have driven and to have absorbed a lot of things about the race format, traffic management and all the procedures. We were able to take stock and analyze everything with the team and we are aware that there is still room for improvement. The objective now is to use it as a starting point, which Charles and Lilou did during testing at Monza. For my part, there was physical preparation and a bit of simulator training. We now look forward to Spa, where we aim to do better than at Sebring. »
