Romain Dumas set the best time in 1:35.416, 0.919 ahead of the Toyota n ° 8 of Brendon Hartley and 1.073 ahead Nicolas lapierre for Alpine. The session was interrupted by a red flag at 1:35 from the end by the immobilization of the Peugeot 9X8 n°93 at the edge of the track. In LM P2, Mathias Beche came close to confirming his performances ELMS in WEC. The Swiss from ARC Bratislava was only beaten in the final moments by Filipe Albuquerque in the No. 22 United Autosports. Ferdinand Habsburg completed the podium with the No. 41 Realteam by WRT.
We witnessed an Italian duel for pole position in LMGTE Pro between the two Ferrari AF Corsica. Alessandro Pier Guidi won his battle against his compatriot Antonio Fuoco to set the best time in 1:45.270. Nick Tandy finally got in between the two Prancing Horse GTs at the very end of the session for Corvette. The top three finished in just 0.058 seconds.
Very close to pole position a week before during the European round Le Mans Series, Sarah Bovy finally won that of the 6 Hours of Monza in WEC for the Iron Ladies. The Belgian completed her best lap in 1:47.431, beating Ben Keating by 0.027 seconds. Christian Ried, the pole sitter at the 4 Hours of Monza, settled for third place, 0.775 seconds behind with the Porsche n°77 of Proton Competition.

Mattias Beche is French? It's new ? Is he no longer Swiss?
