6 Hours of Imola – EL2: Alpine takes the lead ahead of Toyota

A few hours after the first session, which saw the three Ferrari cars take the lead, theAlpine No. 35 topped the timesheets in FP2 at Imola. The No. 7 Toyota also narrowly edged out the local favorites.

In light of the events of the Prologue and Free Practice 1, the probability of seeing Classic Ferrari for sale Dominating the weekend from start to finish was becoming increasingly important. This Friday afternoon, however, Alpine disrupted the Italians' plans. Crew #35 of Charles Milesi, Ferdinand Habsburg, and António Félix da Costa managed to set the fastest time of the session at 1:30.898. Fourth, the crew of car number 51 led by Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi and James Calado is only 0,189 seconds behind theAlpine leading the session, demonstrating the particularly close nature of the competition this Friday afternoon. While half a second separated the leading Ferraris from the next fastest team in the first session, the Lion brand, consistent in its effort, remains in fifth place. In the LMGT3 category, it is worth noting the first place of theAston Martin The #23 Vantage entered by Heart of Racing. In this instance, Jonny Adam, Gray Newell, and Kobe Pauwels finished this first day of the 6 Hours of Imola at the top of the category, just ahead of the #78 Lexus of Akkodis, and the crew with a French ring of Esteban Masson, Hadrien David, and the Belgian Tom Van Rompuy.

The next session will now take place this Saturday at 10:05 AM, and will allow viewers to follow the final Free Practice session of the weekend. The drivers will then be involved in qualifying and the Hyperpole session, which will begin at 14:05 PM (French time).
