6H Imola-EL1: Peugeot takes the lead

The 6 Hours of Imola begins today with the first free practice session. Peugeot took the lead by setting a reference time of 1:34??227 with the n°7, which is ahead of the R18 n°1 by 0??496. The second 908 is third with the n°8 of Stéphane Montagny Sarrazin and Stéphane Sarrazin which is 0??875 behind. The second Audi was fourth, the #18 R2 of Tom Kristensen and Allan McNich finishing 1 behind the #916.

The No. 16 Pescarolo is in fifth place at the top of the gasoline prototypes. The Collard-Tinseau-Jousse prototype finished 3??643 from the first time.

The No. 03 Oreca 45 Nissan driven by Kraihamer-De Crem finished first in LMP2 with a time of 1:39:795. The Boutsen Energy Racing LMP2 is ahead of the No. 03 Oreca 46 from TDS Racing and the No. 11 Lola B40/39 from Pecom Racing. The #41 Greaves Motorsport of Ojjeh-Kimber Smith-Lombard, victorious at Le Mans, is fourth. The No. 26 Signaterch Nissan of Mailleux-Ordonez-Ayari is seventh in the category.

The No. 93 of Petersen-Julian is the fastest in the FLM category, with a time of 1:45:451.

AF Corse places two F458 Italia at the top of the GTE Pro. The no.51 of Fisichella-Bruni holds the best time in the category with a time of 1:46??028 ahead of the no.71 of Melo-Vilander. BMW is in ambush just behind with the #56 of Priaulx-Lamy third ahead of the #55 of Farfus-J. Müller.

GTE Am is led by the No. 430 Krohn Racing F57 (Krohn-Jonsson-Rugolo).
