While the first free practice session went off without a hitch, the rain fell heavily on the Imola track. Only around thirty cars took to the track, resulting in an astonishing time sheet.

Peugeot took the lead in the tests. Sébastien’s 908 n°7 Bourdais and Anthony Davidson once again holds the best time. But the completely wet track slowed the Lioness down by almost 20 seconds. The n°8 of Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazin is second at 0??749.

Audi remained very cautious by only bringing out the No. 2 Audi of Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish, which finished fourth (+ 4) behind an astonishing LMP251, the No. 2 Oreca 03 Nissan of TDS Racing ( M. Beche / P. Thiriet / J. Firth).

Porsche is at the head of the GTE Pro and GTE Am categories. The no. 75 of Prospeed Competition (M. Goossens / M. Holzer) is tenth in the general classification (+ 7??854) ahead of the no. 67 of?Imsa Matmut Performance (N. Armindo / R. Narac).

This session did not really allow the teams to get ready for the race due to the weather conditions. The last session which will take place tomorrow between 8:55 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. will therefore be of paramount importance before the qualifications which will take place between 13:55 p.m. and 14:45 p.m.
