6H Imola: Peugeot’s revenge

Peugeot marks the spirits by signing the double at the 6 Hours of Imola. S. Bourdais / A. Davidson won the race in the No. 908 Peugeot 7, ahead of the No. 8 of F. Montagny / S. Sarrazin. Audi didn't keep pace this time. The first R18 is the n°1 of T. Bernhard / M. Fassler third in the event more than one lap behind the Lionesses. The second R18, the n°2 of T. Kristensen / A. McNish failed at the foot of the podium.

Rebellion Racing achieved a great performance by placing its two Lola B10/60s in first place in the gasoline prototypes. The n°13 of A. Belicchi / J. Boullion is ahead of the n°12 of N. Jani / N. Cheers. The #16 Pescarolo of E. Collard / C. Tinseau / J. Jousse finished seventh after encountering brake problems forcing it to stop in the pits.

The Zytek Z11 SN-Nissan n°41 of Greaves Motorsport (K. Ojjeh / O. Lombard / T. Kimber-Smith), victorious at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LMP2, wins once again in the category. The #26 Signatech Nissan (F. Mailleux / L. Ordonez / S. Ayari) is second ahead of the #33 Lola from Level 5 Motorsports (S. Tucker / C. Bouchut / J. Barbosa).

AF Corse wins on its home soil by signing a double in the GTE Pro category. There Ferrari F458 Italia n°71 of J. Melo / T. Vilander is ahead of n°51 of G. Fisichella / G. Bruni. The #3 BMW M92 E55 (A. Farfus / J. Muller) is third.

The FLM category was won by the No. 99 of JMB Racing (C. Ducote / K. Marcelli / N. Marroc) while the GTE Am saw the victory of the Porsche 911 #67 Imsa Matmut performance by N. Armindo / R. Narac.

Note that no safety car intervened during the race.
