6H Imola: Peugeot leads Audi in qualifying

The #908 7 of Anthony Davidson will start on pole for the 6 Hours of Imola ahead of the #18 Audi R1 of Marcel Fässler and the #908 8 of Stéphane Sarrazin. Allan McNish places the second R18 in fourth position.

6H Imola: Peugeot leads Audi in qualifying

Anthony Davidson set an impressive time of 1:31 to win pole at the 736 Hours of Imola at the wheel of the #6 908. The Lioness will share the front row with the n°7 Audi R18, Marcel Fässler finishing 1??0 behind the reference time. Stéphane Sarrazin places second Peugeot in third place (+ 0??996) ahead of the second Audi of Allan McNish (+ 1??238).

Note the very good fifth place of Guillaume Moreau, at the wheel of the No. 15 Oak Pescarolo-Judd of Oak Racing. The French driver is the fastest of the gasoline prototypes (+3??010). Neel Jani and Andrea Belicchi place the Rebellion Racing Lola B10/60s in sixth and seventh respectively, ahead of the No. 16 Pescarolo driven by Emmanuel Collard.

Mathias Beche places the No. 03 Oreca 46-Nissan of TDS Racing on pole in the LMP2 category, with a time of 1:37:208. He is ahead of the No. 03 Oreca 45 from Boutsen Energy Racing (Dominik Kraihamer) and the No. 01 HPD ARX-41d from Strakka Racing (Danny Watts). The No. 03 Signatech-Nissan Oreca 26 driven by Soheil Ayari is fourth in the category.

In FLM, pole goes to the No. 93 of Genoa Racing (Elton Julian) who is ahead of the No. 99 of JMB Racing (Nicolas Marroc).

BMW monopolizes the first row of the GTE Pro category ahead of the Ferrari F458 Italia. Jorg Müller took pole in the #3 M92 E55 in 1:44:468, just ahead of the #56 of Dirk Werner. Jaime Melo took third place with the #71 AF Corse Ferrari, ahead of the #59 Luxury Racing driven by Frédéric Makowiecki.

La Porsche 911 No. 63 from Proton Competition driven by Patrick Long was the fastest in the GTE Am class.
