Glickenhaus absent in Bahrain

32 cars will be at the start of the last round of the world championshipEndurance. A race which will take place on the Bahrain circuit. After the 6 hours on October 30, the title will be played during the 8 hours on November 6. In Hypercar, both Toyota will only have one adversary in the person of theAlpine No. 36. The Glickenhaus team is skipping these rounds in Sakhir. The American team prefers to focus on preparing for the 2022 campaign.

A rather surprising decision because the best way to prepare your car is to race. James Glickenhaus' team will miss 14 hours of racing conditions which could have been beneficial in preparing for the following season. Mechanics, engineers and even drivers lose two opportunities to learn on and off the track. This also weakens the WEC since the American team created its championship, since it chose the races in which they wanted to participate. As a result, out of 6 scheduled rounds, Glickenhaus only competed in 3, including Le Mans, its main objective.

If in LMP2 no changes are to be reported, the GTE Pro field has seen Porsche align 3 drivers on its 911 RSR. Frederic Makowiecki joins Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz in No. 91. The No. 92 team will be made up of Kevin Estre, Neel Jani and the returning Michael Christensen.
