Néanmoins, cette dernière a affirmé ce mercredi soir sur Twitter qu’elle abandonnait les poursuites : « Porsche Motorsport had filed a protest against the decisions taken by the race director after the final of WEC at the 8 Hours of Bahrain due to the incident between the Porsche number 92 and the Ferrari number 51. This protest was rejected. Porsche had announced that it would appeal the rejection of the claim. The intention was to enable a full review of the circumstances and facts in general as well as from a legal perspective. A thorough analysis of the situation and the advice of legal counsel led to the decision to no longer pursue legal action. In the interests of the sport, Porsche would like to see a strict and uniform approach to sanctions for violations on the track in the future – especially during the race. »
