It's not just in Hypercar that the grid of WEC will see changes in 2025. The LMGT3 category is not left out with many movements, whether among the drivers or even among the teams. As in the premier category, Lamborghini is the big absentee from this GT grid: the Italian firm, associated with Iron Lynx and Iron Dames in 2024, has given way to Mercedes-AMG which has teamed up with… Iron Lynx for its WEC debut this season. The Iron Dames will be teamed up with Manthey EMA and will drive a Porsche 911 GT3 R in 2025. Finally, the Savoyard team Racing Spirit of Léman has recovered the entry ticket from D'station Racing and will enter a Aston Martin Vantage AMR for its return to the World ChampionshipEndurance.

On the driver side, as every year in the GT category, many will change teams or will make their WEC debuts in 2025. The reigning LMGT3 champions, namely Alex Malykhin, Joel Sturm and Klaus Bachler, are currently absent from the entry list, while Manthey 1st Phorm will trust the trio Ryan Hardwick – Riccardo Pera – Richard Lietz on the Porsche n°92.

After months of doubt, Valentino Rossi will definitely be there with BMW and Team WRT in 2025. The Italian legend of MotoGP will return to the BMW M4 n°46 entered by the Belgian team alongside Kelvin van der Linde and Ahmad Al-Harthy. Another transfer: that of Sébastien Baud, defector from Corvette TF Sport, who joins McLaren United Autosports, as well as Darren Leung and Sean Gelael.
