AF Corse recovers its victory at the 4h of Shanghai

AF Corse recovered its victory in the GTE Pro category at the 4 Hours of Shanghai held on November 10.

The #488 Ferrari 51 GTE had been excluded for a non-compliant ride height, the left front part having been checked below the authorized 50mm limit. The Italian team was nevertheless able to prove that this fact was due to damage suffered during the race. The FIA Court of Appeal therefore decided to give victory back to AF Corse at the expense of the Porsche 911 RSR n°92 by Michael Christensen and Kévin Estre.

James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi, the two pilots of the Ferrari 488 GTE n°51, thus moved from 6th to 2nd place in the championship. The title remains in the hands of Marco Sorensen and Nicki Thiim, the official drivers Aston Martin.
