Akio Toyoda (Toyota): “A lot of regrets”

After the ACO and the WEC, it is the turn of Toyota to react after the announcement of Porsche's withdrawal from LM P1 at the end of the year, to focus in 2019-2020 on the Formula e. It was through the voice of its president Akio Toyoda that the Japanese brand communicated this morning.

During 24 Hours of Le Mans en 2016, nous avons été honorés que Porsche considère Toyota comme un rival. Looking ahead to the current season, we aimed to meet Porsche's challenge and even surpass it. At Le Mans this year I once again had the opportunity to meet and speak with Dr. Porsche.

“>As a historic car manufacturer, Porsche deserves a lot of respect.

However, the fight is not yet over. We will continue to fight with all our strength in the last five races of 2017.

“>At that time, I will see which of us will congratulate the other. »
