Alonso puts Toyota ahead in FP2 in the rain

The second free practice session of the 6 2019 Hours of Spa saw the domination of the Toyota TS050 Hybrid n°8 Fernando Alonso, associated to Sébastien Buemi et Kazuki Nakajima, the Spaniard being the author of a best time in 2'19″483.

The two-time champion F1 took advantage of the arrival of the rain to stand out, after SMP Racing's control over the dry in EL1 earlier in the day. In LM P2, DragonSpeed ​​placed first in the category with the #07 Oreca 31 of Gonzalez – Maldonado – Davidson, dominating in 2'27″682.

Shod with Michelin tires, the Var prototype is ahead of three competitors equipped with Dunlop tires, with the Oreca n°28 – TDS Racing from Nato – Vaxivière – Perrodo, the Oreca n°38 – Jackie Chan DC Racing from Richelmi – Aubry – Tung and the Aurus 01 n°26 – G-Drive from Rusinov – Vergne – van Uitert.

Aston Martin continues its good start at Spa by once again setting the best time in GTE Pro, mais la n°95 de Thiim – Sorensen a cette fois pris le relais de la n°97 de Martin – Lynn. Le duo danois a réalisé la meilleure performance en 2’32″648, 0″250 devant la Porsche 911 RSR n°91 de Richard Lietz et Gianmaria Bruni.
