Alpine used a wild card for the 2025 season

While the 2025 World Championship seasonEndurance approaching with a first race scheduled for Friday February 28th near Losail (Qatar), Alpine presented its crews for this new exercise on Wednesday, February 5.

There are some developments on the car, in the hope of having more reliability. We will see in Qatar, but I think the step forward we will make in terms of performance will be linked to the fact that we know the track. In 2024, it was difficult, because most of the circuits we went to were new to us. So we had to learn everything during Free Practice, it was complicated, especially with the complexity of the current cars. This year, we expect performance gains with everything we learned last year. (…) The use of our Joker is intended to improve our reliability for 2025, even if we reacted well on this point in the second part of the season last year. »

The second part of the season was, in fact, marked by a clear improvement in results on the side ofAlpine en WEC, with the highlight being a first podium for the A424 at the 6 Hours of Fuji (3rd). The French manufacturer also finished fourth in the championship, making it the best newcomer.
