Congratulations on this LM P2 title with Jota, what feeling dominates with this coronation?

António Félix da Costa: It's an incredible day. It's been a long journey. I participated in this championship in GTE Pro for the first time (with BMW Team MTEK, during the 2018-2019 super-season. Editor's note), but it was not a great success. I took the LM P2 stage with Jota (during the 2019-2020 super-season. Editor's note) and we finished third in the last two years. We kept pushing with the whole team and we finally won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the championship the same year. For me, it's a huge dream that has become a reality.

Is this your best year in motorsport?

Absolutely ! What's a shame is that I would have liked to have achieved this during the year of my title in Formula E (2019-2020), but we finished third in the WEC. Now that I have won the championship, I have not managed to do the same in FE. It will be the next goal to do the double! Before that we will celebrate with the team, we didn't win alone and they all have a big part in this success.

You won this title after a great race and an intense battle with your friend Filipe Albuquerque…

Yes, we had contact at the end. I love fighting on track with Filipe, he is one of the most difficult drivers to face and I respect him enormously. I had better tires so we weren't really on equal terms, but I'm happy to have taken the position and the championship with it.

António Félix da Costa, qu’est-ce qui vous attend pour la saison 2023 ? Serez-vous présent avec la LMDh Jota-Porsche ?

By joining Porsche, I think some doors will open for me, especially in WEC. We still need to finalize the calendars and check that we don't have any clashes, but the aim is to be in the WEC in Formula E. There are still a few details to work out, we'll see.
