Aston Martin with nine drivers

Returning to Sarthe at the highest level to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of his last victory, Aston Martin will enter three prototypes numbered 007, 008 and 009.

To accompany Jan Charouz, Tomas Enge, Stefan Mucke, Harold Primat, Darren Turner and Miguel Ramos, Aston Martin chose the British Anthony Davidson and Stuart Hall and the Dutchman Jos Verstappen.

“For a British driver, racing for a team as prestigious as Aston Martin is a fantastic opportunity,” comments Davidson. “I know the team and its capabilities. I am convinced that no one will be as well prepared to face the challenge posed by Le Mans. From the test, I felt good in the car. I can't wait to go into battle. Our goal is to be the fastest in gasoline, hoping to gain the upper hand over the diesels. »

Another former pilot F1, Jos Verstappen only started the 24 Hours of Le Mans once: “I only wanted to take part in this event within a professional team with ambition. With Aston Martin, I know I found what I was looking for. I can't wait to test the prototype. I am convinced that driving for Aston Martin Racing will be a fantastic and unforgettable experience. »

The composition of the three crews will be communicated in the coming days.
