Aston Martin reacts to the future regulation

What do you think about accepting a car derived from a Hypercar?

The principle is very good, its success will depend on how the regulations are written. If they opted for this option, it was because they did not have enough favorable responses. They hope it will be better this time.

So you're still interested?

We unveiled two Hypercars in Geneva (003 and Vanquish. Ed.), have a GTE and know how to make prototypes. In theory, we meet all the criteria. In practice, we don't know what is really allowed, it's an expensive business and the challenge is as much technical as it is time-related. If we actively participate in the development of the regulations, it is because we want to get involved. And if we do, we haven't yet decided which solution we would go for.

Another car than the Valkyrie?

That could be.

A prototype ?

It's a possibility.

Are you for or against the BoP?

It works more or less well in GTE, but balancing Prototypes with cars based on a road car is a major challenge. It is not the purest solution but the most practical to ensure a better show with very varied solutions.

How do you distribute roles with Red Bull ?

The only thing I can say is that we are working with Red Bull on the road Valkyrie.
