Austin – EL1: Matt Campbell sets the best time for Porsche

• Track activity began in Austin with Lone Star Free Practice 1. Le Mans. Matt Campbell was fastest in the one-and-a-half-hour session with a time of 1:53 in the Porsche n ° 5.
• The Australian beat Robert Kubica (Ferrari AF Corse n°83) by 0.460 seconds and the Porsche n°38 of Hertz Team JOTA driven by Oliver Rasmussen by 0.477 seconds.
• The two factory Ferraris completed the top 5 with the #50 ahead of the #51.
• Mick Schumacher proved to be the fastest of the drivers Alpine with the 13th fastest time at the wheel of the #36. On the other side of the garage, the #35 remained on the trestles for several minutes where the mechanics worked on it for what could be an issue related to the MGU.
• The Peugeot finished in 16th and 17th place.
• The session was interrupted several minutes early in the session by a red flag due to what appeared to be a technical problem with the circuit.
• The session was also marked by Claudio Schiavoni (Iron Lynx) going off track in the penultimate corner of the circuit, causing a Full Course Yellow.
• The fastest time in the LMGT3 category was set by Alessio Rovera at the wheel of the No. 55 AF Corse Ferrari. The Italian finished ahead of the two Ford Mustangs, in form at home.
