Austin – EL3: Cadillac shows itself before qualifying

• Already at its best during the first two Free Practice sessions on Friday, Cadillac raised its game even further this Saturday during EL3 at Lone Star Le Mans. For its home race, the American manufacturer dominated this third one-hour driving session through Alex Lynn in 1:51.471.
• « Yesterday, on theoretical time, we were also in first position, commented Alex Lynn after the session. I think we are very competitive, both on the long and short hauls. I think we have the car to get a good result and now we just have to stay focused and get that result. »
• The British driver finished ahead of Antonio Fuoco (Ferrari n°50) of 0.040 seconds. Toyota showed up for the first time of the weekend with third place in Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel of the #7, 0.062 seconds behind. The first five cars finished in the same tenth, with also the #83 AF Corse Ferrari and the #8 Toyota.
• Note that the first 14 cars are within the same second.
• On the French side, the best car is the n°36 ofAlpine taken by Mick Schumacher at 0.324 seconds. The second car of the arrowed A signed the 13th time, ahead of the two Peugeot (14th and 15th).
• Daniel Juncadella was the fastest of the GT3s in 2:05.178 at the wheel of the Corvette Z06 n°82. It was even a one-two for the Chevrolets with the second place of the n°81.
