BMW Motorsport has confirmed that the M8 will be the model selected to compete in the GTE Pro category of the WEC from 2018. The Bavarian manufacturer made its announcement on the sidelines of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (live streaming of the race).

The German brand presented a completely camouflaged version on the Green Hell. The GTE Pro version will be entered in the World ChampionshipEndurance by the MTEK team which will run two cars for the entire season. The BMW M8 will also be present in IMSA with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing which is currently entering the M6 ​​GTLM.
