For its return to the highest level of endurance in GT, BMW Motorsport revealed this Friday evening during its end-of-year party, the names of the starting drivers for the 2018-2019 Super-Season of the WEC
António Felix da Costa, resident of Andretti, partner of BMW in Formula e, will evolve alongside Nick Catsburg, passed by Volvo Polestar Cyan Racing in WTCC in 2017, Martin Tomczyk, aligned in IMSA with BMW Team RLL in 2017, and Augustus Farfus, driver of the German brand in DTM.
BMW will also be able to count on the reinforcement over several rounds of Tom Blomqvist, Alexander Sims and Philipp Eng, new holder in DTM.
Note that Maxime Martin, who announced his departure from BMW Motorsport earlier this week, is logically not part of the list, after having driven the latest from Munich during the first runs.
The two BMW M8 GTEs will be operated by the MTEK structure, which was responsible for the development of the firm's new propeller weapon.
